This one was close to my heart and the most troubling.

The Back Flap
After surviving the first two episodes, the cost is seen… No slow coast to stopping, but some high-speed hairpin turns to a gripping, unexpectedly grim conclusion.
Best advice: Read one chapter a day.
Let it sink in, marinate for best flavor.
About the book
When did you start writing the book?
During wrapping work on installment two. Never intended it as a trilogy until midway through Book 2.
How long did it take you to write it?
Several years. Other world events, family upheavals and various book titles took precedence over authoring.
Where did you get the idea from?
Proofreading Appalachian Phantoms Book 2. Also, a subsequent visit to West Virginia’s Bruceton Mills, the area that inspired it all, brought up heated feelings, questions and inspiration.
Were there any parts of the book where you struggled?
Struggle came from scrubbing recognition of certain individuals while maintaining the idea’s continuity.
What came easily?
Getting ideas out. Enough popped up during hiatus connecting Phantoms #1 and #2 that it could readily have become a drawn-out saga like Trilogy White Stone/Sky Not Empty.
Are your characters entirely fictitious or have you borrowed from real world people you know?
So many are based on actual personalities a spreadsheet was kept handy.
Do you have a target reader for this book?
Anyone who likes taking to a tome slowly, letting its words walk them through dark forest towards unknown destination.
How was writing this book different from what you’d experienced writing previous books?
First, it was necessary, (for many reasons).
Secondly, I never labored so long or as intensely on one project.
Finally, this one was close to my heart and the most troubling. That is, at points I was scared of possible repercussions and embarrassment sure to ensue, while equally anxiously proud to share it.
